Human trafficking exploits vulnerable populations
Human trafficking exploits vulnerable populations

Angela Bradley was 10 the first time she was paid to have sex.

LINE IN THE SAND: At last year's Anti-Trafficking Summit, held at Mars Hill University, participants explored the Red Sand Project, a collaborative installation which creates \"opportunities for people to question, connect and take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation,\" according to the project’s website. Photo by Jennifer Wilson
A neighbor who was a gang member introduced her and became her “manager,” and when he paid her $100 after the act, she thought it was an incredibly easy way to make money.
“I had already been molested by an older man who gave me candy and presents, so this was nothing new, really,” says Bradley, who today works for Legacy of Hope International, a South Carolina-based nonprofit. The group is organizing the second annual Anti-Trafficking Summit, slated for Tuesday-Saturday, Sept. 15-19. Co-sponsored by Mars Hill University and Life 107 Ministries, this year’s summit will be online only due to COVID-19.
Bradley’s mother had a psychiatric illness and was addicted, so the young girl had no strong advocate at home. “I was trying to look older, and they wanted me to look younger,” she recalls. “And when they gave me $100, I thought it was great.”
But by age 17, she was pregnant and in jail.
“I gave birth to my daughter with one hand cuffed to the bed and one leg shackled to the bed,” she says. “That’s the moment I knew I had to turn my life around. It was a survival thing.”

A complex picture

Trafficking takes many forms. According to a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services [fact sheet](http://(https//www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/orfact_sheet_child_victims_of_human_trafficking.pdf), it can include not only sex for money involving coercion or fraud but also any kind of involuntary servitude. And while most folks associate trafficking with children, two-thirds of the more than 200 North Carolina cases reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline last year were adults. Still, the average age of children when they’re first trafficked is 15, says Bradley. According to the hotline, about 80% of trafficking cases nationally involve sex trafficking, and 90% of the victims are female.
Although trafficking can happen to anyone, certain groups are more vulnerable: people who’ve recently migrated or moved; those with substance use issues and/or mental illness; those who’ve been in the child welfare system; someone who’s LGBTQ, a runaway or a homeless youth.
Perpetrators also come from every race, ethnicity, and gender demographic, the hotline reports. They may be business owners, members of a gang or network, parents or family members of victims, intimate partners — even corporate executives and government representatives. Some leverage their privilege, wealth, and position to control their victims.
In a high-profile 2019 case, financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly procured girls for himself and his powerful friends. Epstein, a registered sex offender, died in custody while awaiting trial. Other perpetrators, however, come from more modest backgrounds.

The second annual Anti-Trafficking Summit

The free online event is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15; Thursday, Sept. 17; and Saturday, Sept. 19. The suggested donation for training is $10, and tickets are available online.
Traffickers use various tactics to control their victims, including physical and emotional abuse and threats, isolation from friends and family, and economic manipulation. Initially, they often promise to address their target’s needs; victims then become afraid to leave for reasons including psychological trauma, shame, emotional attachment or physical threats to themselves or their loved ones.

Sugar dating

Asheville resident Jennifer Wilson, who’s organizing the upcoming summit, works for Legacy of Hope International. “With COVID-19 and what it’s doing to the economy, even more people are becoming desperate,” she points out. “Sex can be used as an exchange for necessities like rent and food, not just drugs.”
Amid widespread pandemicrelated unemployment and the impending end of federal, state, and local protections, some economists are predicting 30 million to 40 million evictions in the coming months.
All these factors increase the risk of being trafficked, says Demetria Gilliam-Williams of Life 107. The faith-based organization works to eliminate sex trafficking and empower survivors. “We have to talk about familial trafficking right here in rural North Carolina,” she says. “These children are not being kidnapped; that’s not what it looks like here.”
Traffickers, she explains, approach their targets the same way a child molester does — first grooming them by offering forbidden items such as alcohol or small amounts of money and telling them to keep the “gifts” secret. But when those “treats” become the payment for sexual acts with someone under age 18, the law calls it trafficking.
Even a teenager dating an older partner may be at risk, says Gilliam-Williams. “It’s called sugar dating,” she explains. “If a young girl is dating an older male, and he asks her to perform a sex act with him or with someone else in exchange for gifts or money, that’s trafficking. Unfortunately, too many victims are very attached to their traffickers.”

Blaming the victim

Many victims aren’t even aware they’re being trafficked, says Angelica Reza Wind of Our VOICE. “They’ll call and say someone is making them do things,” she explains. “They may not even know there’s a name for it, and they’re unaware there are resources to help them.” The Asheville nonprofit works to eliminate sexual violence.
Despite the widespread belief that kidnapping must be involved for the law to consider it trafficking, that’s not true, stresses Wind. Any exchange of anything of value for sex with a minor, and any use of force, fraud or coercion in the case of an adult, is trafficking. Like Bradley, most people who are trafficked knew the perpetrator beforehand, and 80% are survivors of child abuse.

Getting help

If you’re being trafficked or know someone who is, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888, text 233733 or visit humantraffickinghotline.org.
To reach Our VOICE, call the 24-hour crisis line (828-255-7576) or visit ourvoicenc.org.
Wind believes part of the reason people think most trafficking victims are abducted and spirited across the border is that the #SaveTheChildren hashtag has been appropriated by anti-immigration activists on the political right.
Another major problem, she notes, is blaming the victim instead of the perpetrator. “When we read the story, it too often says that Jane Doe was trafficked, not that John Smith was charged with trafficking,” Wind points out. “We ask why didn’t she leave, report him sooner, avoid being trafficked.”

Legal protections

In July 2019, Gov. Roy Cooper signed a law based on recommendations by the state’s Human Trafficking Commission. Among other things, it expands the definition of “sexual servitude,” prohibits the promotion or sale of “sex tourism” services, creates a mechanism for victims to recover damages from traffickers or those who benefited financially from it, and makes it easier for victims to expunge convictions for nonviolent crimes committed as a direct result of being trafficked.
The law also funds education, says Wind. In October, Our VOICE will launch a project in the Asheville City Schools to help youths understand what trafficking is and how to avoid getting caught up in it.
“Education is key,” says Wind. “Having information helps prevent trafficking.”

2020.08.29 18:04 firstname_shadesof Until I had to name a baby I never realized that I dislike almost all boy names! Help!

I’m having a baby boy in December and I’m stumped on names! I’m suddenly realizing that I dislike a LOT of boy names.
His last name will be Gray, and we currently live in the southern USA. I really like traditional names with one widely accepted pronunciation and spelling. I also like longer names that have short nicknames, where both names are pretty widely accepted/known. Both I and my partner are white, and while my family is of Italian origin, I’m not sure it’s a big enough part of our identity as a new family to justify using an Italian name.
If you want to help out, I’d mostly love to discuss the names we have on our “like” list but I’m also open to more suggestions! Tell me which ones don’t go with Gray, which ones do, which are too trendy, etc.
At the risk of looking totally insane, I’ll include all the names people have suggested that we don’t like in case it helps.
His middle name will be one of a few possible family names, we’ll choose it based on how well it flows with the first name.

We sort of like these: Adam Andrew Cameron Christopher Daniel Elijah Emmett Ethan Evan Everett Isaac Jonathan Jordan Joseph Levi Michael Noel Samuel
Like these but can’t/don’t want to use these: Adam Alexander Anthony Benjamin Bennet Conrad David Derek George Henry Jacob Joel John Julian Lee Leo Matthew Michael Nicholas Owen Thomas Victor
Don’t love: Aaron Abraham Aiden/Brayden/Jaden Alan Anton Arthur Ashton Barrett Bradley Beckham Brendan Caleb Calvin Carter Charles Charlie Clarence Colby/Cole Colin Cooper Curtis Dean Dexter Donovan Douglas Dylan Elliot Emerson Eric Flynn Francis Franklin Fredrick Geoffrey Harry Harrison Hudson Hugo Hunter Hyrum Isaiah Jackson Jason Jeremiah Johnson Jonas Judson Justin Kelvin Landon Liam Lincoln Logan Louis Lucas/Luke Mark Martin Mason Maxwell Max Mitchell Nash Nathan Noah Nolan Oliver Orion Patrick Paul Peter Phillip Richard Robert Ryan Sawyer Scott Seth Sebastian Stephen/Steven Sutton Thaddeus Theodore Timothy Todd Trevor Tyler Vincent Warner Warren Wesley Wesson William Wyatt Zachary

2020.08.13 11:16 MaisyDax Lucy's Last Secret (Chapter 14)

LUCY
Throw it away! Lucy had Max's business card in her hand. She passed a trash can on her near-sprint back to her car. But she couldn't do it. She shoved the card in her purse and hurried to her car.
On the drive home, she tried to calm herself. But the urge to run was still coursing through her. She was driving too fast. Slow it down!
Later, after standing on her balcony for a long time, breathing in the moist air, and listening to the rhythm of the waves, she began to calm down. She knew she needed to figure out what had just happened. She was so happy to see him. It was a crazy shock. The restaurant was great - wonderful. But then she was overcome by this need to escape and even run away from him. Why?
Now that she was relaxed, she sagged with exhaustion. She would figure this out tomorrow.
She spent Saturday deep cleaning her kitchen. She moved the refrigerator and the stove out and cleaned the walls and floor behind them. She scrubbed the cupboard under the sink, replaced the liner, sorted the cleaners, and even tightened the water lines. Every drawer and cupboard was emptied, cleaned. All-day and reorganized. She used a handful of Q-tips and toothpicks to clean every corner, from floor to ceiling.
Then, she went running. She started running in college when she discovered how much stress it relieved. She ran the trails not far from her condo that skirted the rocky shoreline. At home, hot and sweaty, she took a long shower and put on her favorite sweats.
But it did no good, none of it. All day, she kept looking at her purse, almost as if she had x-ray vision and could see Max's card inside. She put it in the closet but even when she went running, it was calling her name. She was not going to call him. Not! Replay what happened last night? Then, she realized how rude she must have appeared to just jump up and race out of there. She should apologize.
But if she called or even texted him, then he would have her number. She could wait until Monday and call him from work. But then he would have her work number. What if he just started calling her? She could tell him, don't call me. For an instant, she thought of calling Diane, but nixed that! Diane would get gushy and ask a bunch of questions like, "What is the matter with you? Just call him!" And, "What is so bad with Max having your number? He's a nice guy. And Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper handsome!"
Right, the handsome thing. He might have quite a few ladies at the moment. What if he's married? Or has kids?
Married? Kids? She needed to take it down a notch. She wasn't looking to marry the guy, just apologize!
But she thought about it for the rest of the day. By Sunday morning, she realized that she needed to just get it over with and get on with her life. It was just going to be a 2-minute phone call. So why was her heart beating like that?
"Max Miller at your service," he answered on the second ring.
"Hi Max, it's Lucy Standish.
"Well, hello Lucy Standish," said Max. "Nice to hear from you. How're you doing today?"
"Good, uh… and how are you?"
"I'm doing great today! It's Sunday."
"Yeah?" Just get on with it and apologize. No need for all this chit chat. Well, maybe a little chit chat is okay.
"Yeah," he answered. "In real estate, you can get called literally 24/7. And you go. But since Dennis and I are partners, he takes all the Sunday calls and I take the Saturday ones. So, I know I've always got Sunday off."
"Nice."
"And today, I am going to start with breakfast at a place I've never been to before."
Lucy felt tense up. What if he asks her for breakfast? What if he doesn't? "Well, I don't want to interrupt your plans but I have something I…I…I" Wanted? Needed? Would like? Have to? "wanted to say to you."
"Is it a life and death emergency kind of thing?"
"No," Lucy was smiling.
"Then, tell me about it at breakfast. Please?"
Say no. Say you can't. Say you're sick. Say you have company.
"Thanks, I'd love to."
An hour later, Max and Lucy were sitting on the veranda of one of San Diego's new trendy breakfast restaurants. Their table overlooked the rocky beach where a gentle tide was bumping the rocks.
"Okay," said Lucy.
"First," Max interrupted her. "Mimosas. They have about 22 different flavors. I recommend the peach. I had one before at another place. I know that's not a very manly drink. But it was great. I did have to rethink my gender identification afterward."
Lucy laughed. It felt good. Just relax. "Okay, peach mimosa it is."
"I decided later that I can still be a man and drink peach mimosas. I just can't ever tell another soul about it.
"And yet you just told me," Lucy grinned. "Now, I am morally obligated to post it everywhere I can."
"Hey, before you tell me your thing, I would love to hear how you got into stand up. Because…well, you are this really nice person. You know, kind, gentle, even a little shy. But Lu is another story."
The peach mimosas showed up. Then they both ordered - caramel pecan waffle with cranberry syrup for Max and pesto and alfalfa omelet covered in garlic hollandaise for Lucy.
"So, comedy," Max reminded her.
"I've always been the good kid you know?" Lucy said. "My brother and sister were always doing something wrong and getting in trouble for it. But not me. Good grades, good college, good degree." She took another drink of the mimosa. "This is good!"
"Right!" said Max and clinked his glass on hers.
"For a few years, I always had roommates, and one of them took me to a comedy club. I laughed harder than I had ever laughed. Then, the headliner came on and did the most brilliant rant I've ever seen. He took on lots of things but then he started in on his parents. The things he said about his parents were so awful. And hilarious. I was in shock. I had never imagined anyone could talk about their parents that way. But I knew that I wanted to do the same thing. Instantly. It was actually life-changing."
Their food arrived and they ate for a few minutes.
"I didn't know anything about comedy, except that one show. So, I just tried to do what I'd just seen. I wrote some stuff and tried to make it as funny as I could. But it was really uncomfortable because - I was always the good kid. Too good. That's how I came up with Lu. She's like an alter ego. She can say the things I never would. And boy does she love saying them."
They were on their second mimosa and Max was insisting that Lucy try a bite of his waffles when Lucy's phone rang. It was Diane.

2020.06.29 23:54 Murcologist [DIPLOMACY] Establishing Diplomatic Relations

As a young and nascent nation the Union Republic of the Andamans and Nicobars contacts various neighbouring nations and global players, inviting them to establish embassies in Port Blair and to establish our own embassies in their capitals.
THE UNITED KINGDOM
As the former colonial overlord of the Andamans and Nicobars our two nations naturally share a historic bond but as President Bradley himself is of Anglo descent and represents the small Anglo elite he also feels there is a close cultural bond binding together our peoples. Though now independent of the British Empire the President still sees the United Kingdom as the closest and most natural partner of the Union Republic and has hopes to one day lead the young nation into the Commonwealth.
As the Union Republic is currently without any organized military forces be they land, sea or air based the President hopes that the United Kingdom might enter into an agreement with the Andamans & Nicobars whereby British and other Commonwealth Naval forces will be tasked with guaranteeing the territorial integrity of our islands, keeping in mind the Socialist Burma and Indonesia, in exchange for allowing British and other Commonwealth military vessels to freely dock in Port Blair for a period of 5 years upon which the agreement can be taken up for re-consideration. Further President Bradley hopes to open the country to British economic investment and aid to develop our economy primarily based on export of agricultural goods.

THE UNITED STATES
President Bradley of the Union Republic hopes that the United States might establish an embassy in Port Blair and sponsor our entry into the United Nations. The United States is a most natural ally of our young nation and we hope to enter into economic agreements with the States that would see our country open up to American investment and economic aid in order to assist with developing our economy. As the Union Republic is closely neighboured by socialist Burma and Indonesia we see the United States as a most natural strategic partner and an inspiration for our young nation.

BURMA
The Union Republic asks that Burma establish an embassy and recognize our Government and territorial integrity. Further we inform Burma that the Union Republic sees the Coco islands as a natural extension of the Andaman archipelago though we will not pursue any territorial revisions at this time. Though currently governed by President Bradley of the National Prosperity Party, the smaller Unionist Socialist Party headed by Dipen Debnath is enthusiastic about cooperation with Indonesia to bring socialist reform to the Union Republic.

INDONESIA
The Union Republic asks that Indonesia establish an embassy and recognize our Government and territorial integrity. Though currently governed by President Bradley of the National Prosperity Party, the smaller Unionist Socialist Party headed by Dipen Debnath is enthusiastic about cooperation with Indonesia to bring socialist reform to the Union Republic.

INDIA
India is our largest neighbour and a prime destination for export of Andaman and Nicobar export. Formerly organized under the Bengal Presidency and the Raj our two nations share a tight historic and cultural bond, achieveing independence at the same time. Though the Government under President Bradley asks that India establish an embassy and recognize our independence there is still a number of people of Indian and Hindu descent within the Union Republic that hope to see our nation enter into a Union with India some day in the future.

SOVIET UNION
As one of the Superpowers of our age it is only natural that the Soviet Union should establish an embassy in Port Blair. Though President Bradley himself is rather distanced from the ideas espoused by the Soviet Union and their international partners, the Unionist Socialist Party headed by Dipen Debnath is enthusiastic about cooperation with the Soviets to bring socialist reform and true freedom for the proletariat to the Union Republic.

2020.06.25 08:36 murderincookie1 Is it normal for your SO to have a sex dream about another person?

So earlier my gf got up and I had to get ready for work and she wanted to have sex. Which is cool lol but for her to be spontaneous about it is unlike her. So after I asked her what was going on and she said she had a erotic dream and ya know got in the mood. The problem was I asked if it was me and she seemed like she was lying and said ya ya sure it was you. Just saying I’m sure it is normal to have these dreams not with your partner but ya if she would have heck ya ol Bradley cooper was going to pound town I’d be oh heck yea

2020.06.20 22:31 Colbster2 24 Songs I Loved in 2019

For the entire time I’ve been on Reddit, it has felt like there wasn’t really a whole lot of country music fans on the subreddit. Today I found this subreddit and wanted to share something I wrote at the end of last year. It was 24 of my favorite songs of the year. While not all are country (I am a pop and sometimes a rap fan as well) country music has always been the genre of music I enjoy the most. Take a look at what I wrote at the end of last year. Most of my favorites are pretty mainstream but I have been trying to get into some Red Dirt and older country as well in the past few months (thanks quarantine...)
“Even Though I’m Leaving” - Luke Combs - This song from his EP released in June about the bond between the narrator and his father quickly became a fan favorite and standout track from the project. Combs takes listeners through different through the different phases of the bond between one and their father. This song spent 3 weeks atop the Billboard Country Airplay chart and has been both a streaming and sales juggernaut. It is no question why this powerful song made my list.
“Whiskey Glasses” - Morgan Wallen - From the opening lyrics, “poor me, pour me another drink…” I knew this would be a song I would visit frequently. Wallen’s creative lyrics that include “see the world through whiskey glasses” and vocals set it apart from other uptempo tracks heard throughout this past summer.
“Girl Goin’ Nowhere” - Ashley McBryde - Country newcomer Ashley McBryde stands out amongst others thanks to her vocal performance on every song she sings and lyrics that connect with many. This song about overcoming odds and being in a place that people said she would never be resonates with many. After her win for Best New Artist at the CMA’s last month, it is clear this girl is going somewhere!
“Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)” - Tenille Townes - Tenille has been releasing music in Canada for almost a decade, it is a shame that many in the US such as me didn’t have the chance to hear her beautiful voice until this year. Focused on a classmate who passed away in a car crash, Tenille talks to god in this song and asks, “If I ever get to heaven, I got a long list of questions ...why can’t you stop a car from crashing.” I look forward to hearing more from her in the future.
“One Man Band” - Old Dominion - The second single from their self-titled album went into my playlist as soon as I first heard it. The opening lyrics “been flyin’ solo for so long, nobody’s singing the harmony,” begins to paint a picture that compare being single to being part of a one man band. With creative lyrics and a nice melody, this was a shoo-in for my list.
“Eyes On You” - Chase Rice - This year Chase scored his first #1 hit and it was with a good one! This song tells of someone who has been to many places with his loved one but the best view is when his eyes are on the one he is with. I enjoyed this throughout the entirety of the year.
“God’s Country” - Blake Shelton - Blake scored another big hit this year with a great song. Released in March of this year, it became a staple of mine throughout the spring and summer months. It was pouring rain when I saw Blake performing this back in August at Gillette Stadium - and it was awesome!
“Does To Me” - Luke Combs & Eric Church - Two of my favorite artists partnered together for a track off of Comb’s album released last month. The basis of this tune is Combs and Church trading off lines about things and experiences in each of their lives that mean a lot to them, even if they do not mean anything to others. A couple lines stand out to me at the end of the song, “I’m damned hard working. One things for certain, I stand up for what I believe. That might not mean much to you, but it does to me.” It helps that aside from the lyrics, the tune is incredibly catchy!
“Señorita” - Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes - One of the few non-country songs on my list is a catchy tune that was huge over this past summer. This collaboration is instantly catchy and was a huge hit this year.
“Down To The HonkyTonk” - Jake Owen - This fun tune came out near the end of last year and was still a fun one to listen to throughout 2019. In this one, Jake sings about how he may not end up in the Hall of Fame or or go down in history. He will however go down...to the HonkyTonk.
“More Hearts Than Mine” - Ingrid Andress - This unique song takes a look at the ways a family gets close to the significant other while dating someone in their family and how the entire family is impacted when there is a breakup. The line, “If we break up, I’ll be fine. But you’ll be breaking more hearts than mine,” is powerful and amongst all the breakup songs, this one stands out due to Ingrid’s voice and different perspective of a break-up.
“Beer Never Broke My Heart” - Luke Combs - This song was released in May and became one of my most played songs all summer long. Luke sings about women, football teams and dogs all being things that have broken his heart. What hasn’t? Beer. Luke’s voice and style make this more than just your average drinking song.
“Hey Look Ma, I Made It” - Panic! at The Disco - Prior to the past year or so, I admittedly wasn’t too familiar with Panic! At The Disco but after “High Hopes” and this one, I am a fan. This is a fun tune and my favorite lyrics are the opening lines, “All my life, been hustling and tonight is my appraisal. ‘Cause I’m a hooker selling songs and my pimp’s a record label”
“There Was This Girl” - Riley Green - For his debut single, Riley really delivered in my opinion. Particularly during the early portion of the year, I listened to this one a lot. I am typically more of a fan of uptempo songs and this one is right in my wheelhouse.
“Memories” - Maroon 5 - I’ve always been a fan of Maroon 5. Even though I was disappointed that Adam Levine left The Voice this year, I was glad that the group continued to have strong output in 2019. This song is a shout out to past memories with those who are still with us as well as those we have lost along the way.
“All My Favorite People” - Maren Morris & Brothers Osborne - This was a fun one for one of country music's biggest stars and a duo that really knows how to perform and should be one of the biggest starts within the next couple years. “Not everybody gets what we’re going through, but all my favorite people do,” is a fun hook. It’s a song about good people and good times, two things I consider myself to be surrounded by.
“Some Of It” - Eric Church - As one of my favorite artists of the decade, Church always knows how to get reflective and sing a good tune about life. “Some of it you learn the hard way. Some of it you read on a page. Some of it comes with heartbreak. Some of it comes with age.” True stuff.
“Sunflower” - Post Malone & Swae Lee - For the past few years, it seems as though Post Malone has been everywhere and I’ve been enjoying every bit of it. This is a fun pop song that I enjoyed hearing all year.
“Beautiful Crazy” - Luke Combs - This song about his fiancé captures in both it’s lyrics as well as it’s delivery how Luke feels about the one he is with. A hit on the radio as well as on streaming platforms, Luke scored one of the biggest country hits of the year with this one. There is something about the lyrics such as, “she makes plans for the weekend, can’t wait to go out. ‘Til she changes her mind and says “let’s stay on the couch and watch TV” and she falls asleep” that set it apart from other love songs from 2019.
“Shallow” - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - While I have still yet to see the highly acclaimed ‘A Star Is Born’, I have heard this song quite a few times and it is a really enjoyable one. This may even be my favorite output from Lady Gaga ever.
“SICKO MODE” - Travis Scott - Even though I am not as familiar with rap as many of my friends are, I do really enjoy this one. It was always good to hear this one when it would come on.
“Put Me In My Place” - Muscadine Bloodline - This new country duo hasn’t made it big yet but I found this song after someone tweeted about it earlier in the year. It’s a vulnerable and slower song that I really enjoyed in 2019.
“Here Tonight” - Brett Young - This song was the lead single from his second major studio album. It’s just a really nice song that I enjoyed throughout the year and I think his voice sounds good whether he is doing a song like this or one of his slower songs such as “In Case You Didn’t Know”.
“Chasin’ You” - Morgan Wallen - Another really enjoyable song this year from Morgan Wallen is this song. I first heard it in the summer but it still sounds really good in these colder months!

2020.06.19 07:21 NathanJacobs2 List of British Wrestlers Exposed Tonight

Scroll down for the list, however I feel it's important to give a little context to the situation.
So, one person outted a British Wrestler or wrestling trainer on Twitter. I'm unsure who was named first because there's been about 50 exposed since. Many have been exposed by current or ex professional wrestlers, ex partners of wrestlers or simply people these wrestlers have harassed, assaulted or mentally abused at shows, in training, in public or online. Not all have been sexual predators, some have just been branded as arseholes, homophobic or racist.
It is important to understand that allegations are simply allegations, however most have shown proof and those that haven't are seemingly a reliable source.
Having been around Brit Wrestling years ago, and having even spent time at a wrestling school training back in 2015 or 16 - I've heard many stories, but without proof that's literally all they are so I'm not going to "leak" any rumours or anything because simply I don't have any proof, nor is it my story to tell.
One of the people in the wrestling school I attended was a young girl (14 or 15) who attended with her older sister. Anyway, following the trainer not hscibgWow, British Wrestling is seemingly breaking Twitter tonight and for all the wrong reasons.

The "wrestling school" I attended came to an end because the bloke was unlicensed, didn't have any insurance and didn't have a ring. It was two sessions a week in a sports hall with crash mats. Which, imo is how it should be, but without the right insurance the guy had to stop. I genuinely enjoyed it and despite the limited training, I learnt a hell of a lot about the business.
One of the people in that class was a young girl (14 or 15) who attended with her older sister. Following the trainer not having the licences and insurances the school closed and most went off to went off to a licenced school called IPW:UK. A few years later I saw her name online because she outted the main trainer after he had groomed her and forced her into sexual acts. That man being Daniel Elder.
Tonight I've seen yet more of these trainers and wrestlers outted on Twitter and in all honesty I've not begun to read all of what acts have been alleged, there's far too many! However, I'm genuinely not shocked by at least 15 names on this list. Many I've heard stories about internally and online in the public domain.
I'll list the names that have been outted online below, Ill let you research what they've done because some of the claims are pretty disturbing and may cause offence to some people.
Apologies if I've missed any names or listed some twice!

2020.05.25 20:04 spummydue [SUMMARY] United States Arms Sales 2027, Still The Best In The World, Also The M1A3 Is Better Than That French/German Tank

United States Department of Defense,
The Pentagon, Arlington County, Commonwealth of Virginia

Foreign Military Sales Catalogue

Foreign Military Sales (FMS) is the United States Government’s program for transferring defense articles, services, training, and equipment to our international partners and international organizations. The FMS program is funded by administrative charges to foreign purchasers and is operated at no cost to American taxpayers. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the organization responsibility for the administration of the FMS program, acts as an agent for procurement mostly for American defense and aerospace companies. Current fees / administrative charges equal the sum of $15,000 USD and 3.8 percent of the purchased item(s).
Under FMS, the United States government uses the Department of Defense’s acquisition system to procure defense articles and services on behalf of its partners. Eligible countries may purchase defense articles and services with their own funds or with funds provided through United States government-sponsored assistance programs.

2020.05.21 17:35 spummydue [SUMMARY] United States Arms Sales 2026, Still Better Than China! Now Includes Our New Stuff!!!
